The miracle of childbirth has happened three times in my own life, 26, 21, and 19 years ago. As my husband and I step into parenting adult children, we have recently become empty nesters alongside our older, but still very energetic, Australian Sheperd. Transplants from the south 14 years ago, Fort Wayne has become our home.

My philosophy on my role as a birth doula is simple; one of the most powerful stories you will share throughout life is your own childbirth miracle and I firmly believe it should be shared with happy tears and not regret or disappointment. As your doula, my desire is to facilitate your birth plan regardless of your chosen birth setting. Through calm support, evidence-based education, and relationship during pregnancy, my goal is that every decision parents make during this journey is an informed one. I value the importance of healthy pregnancies; fostering the wellbeing of mind, body, and soul, which contribute to confidence in your body’s ability during labor and delivery.

As a Microbirth Approved Provider, I can help you make small lifestyle changes that have big positive impact on gut health.

If your plan is to breastfeed your baby, I can support you through that journey as a lactation specialist (currently working toward international board-certified lactation consultant) with a meeting focused only on lactation education and preparation. Breastfeeding issues come up big and small with first or fifth babies, I can help you achieve your feeding goals in your home with compassionate care.
